    • Could someone please clarify what is meant by

"Provide a few sentences on who has studied them with relevent citations." is it enough to provide information on what type of work has been done, with citations, or is this that we should say who exactly is working and what they are doing.

      example:

are you looking for something like this:

Many different researcher have tried different techniques for playing tetris, ranging from reinforcement learning, \cite{szita2006learning}, to evolutionary algorithms \cite{an_evolutionary_approach_to_tetris,evolve_tetris}.

      or more like this:

In 2006 Researchers at MIT attempted to play tetris using reinforcement learing \cite{szita2006learning}.

      In 2009 ...

It would be nice to get an idea of what you are looking for so I don't lose points simply for not giving names.
    • Your first example is what I am looking for at this point. I do not expect you to have done all the literature survey work.
    • We were told after writing 1 that we should avoid using "I" in our writing, however I am not certain how one would avoid that with this assignment. Is this going to be an issue in grading this time around, and if so, are there suggestions for formatting a proposal that would avoid the use of I and My?
    • Since this is an informal proposal of what you plan on doing, it is fine to use "I". Typically "we" is used for formal writing, such as when writing a paper to be published or a formal proposal.
