Learning “Just in Case” versus “Just in Time” - Preparation - Lifehacker
- As someone who has an IT job, this concept manifests as the eternal conflict that goes something like this:
"Can I PLEASE get some training?!"
"You're a smart person. You can figure it out."
6 months later, the system fails.
"Why didn't you design this better?"
"I learned it as I went along."
"Why didn't you get trained?"
